Animals of Sedia

The ordinary animals of Urd, by family. None of them is magical and most would rather you went away. Hunters skin them, cooks stew them, and an animal husband can tame nearly any of them.

In a fight a creature’s AC is its Defense, and it adds a fifth of its level to hit. Running a Fight has the rest.

Reading the tables#

Each table gives an animal’s size, rank and level, its health, armor class and the die it bites for, how many come in a group, the DC to tame it and what a tamed one is worth in vern. Lives in shows the provinces whose ground suits it. What each one is sits under its name.

The animals#

By family, the smallest and weakest first.

Great cats Tigers, lions, leopards and their kin. Vermin#

Rats, beetles, bats and the other small things that turn up everywhere, in cellars and caves as much as in the wild. Every vermin is weak and level 2, and each one met rolls a size and a kind: a giant marsh slug is a slug of the marsh, two levels tougher than an ordinary one. The roller on the Creatures page rolls both.
