Menusia#
Everything that walks on Urd started here. Some of it never left, and some of it is hungry.
Tropical forest, caves and falls, and the oldest civilization on Urd. Life began in Menusia, the ancients' palace stood in the Lost City of Amone, and no province has better kept its secrets or worse creatures.
The land#
Menusia is the oldest region of civilization in existence. Menusia is where life began, where the palace of the ancients once stood within the Lost City of Amone. The subtropical area remains forlorn and mysterious, it’s secrets not easily revealed as it contains some of the most dangerous creatures in existence.

Who lives there#
Menusia has no chartered towns on any map, and that suits it. Its people live under the canopy and in the caves of Brovost, Mirian, Tirian and Jirian, along the Agiea River and the Crystal Falls, and they don’t need anyone else to find them. The avaries call Menusia home, which tells you something about the place.
Not long ago an army of trolls, dwarves, humans and anyone else who would come stood together to defend Amone, and plenty of them didn’t come back. The forest has already grown back over the battlefield. That’s what Menusia does with most things.

What others say#
Go into Menusia with a map and you'll come out with a story. Go in without one and you won't come out at all.
The trees there are older than the gods' quarrel. I've heard them talk about it.
Back to Amone
A veteran of the defense of Amone wants to go back for a friend he left buried there. The forest has covered the battlefield, the Lost City’s gates have closed again, and something has been moving in the caves of Mirian since the army left. He knows the way in. He doesn’t know the way out.
Where you grew up#
Roll a d10 for what you grew up around in Menusia, and a d20 on the table of family stations for who you grew up as. The button rolls both.
| d10 | What you grew up around |
|---|---|
| 1 | You grew up in a canopy village and didn't touch solid ground until you were six. |
| 2 | You guided travelers through the Tropics of Dumet and lost one to the forest you still think about. |
| 3 | Your family lived in the Mirian Caves, where the walls carry carvings older than any written language. |
| 4 | You fished the Agiea River and learned which of its creatures were food and which thought you were. |
| 5 | You were raised in the spray of the Crystal Falls by people who claim the water heals. |
| 6 | You fought with the Allied Army at Amone as a child soldier and came home with nightmares and a ring from the Lost City. |
| 7 | You gathered rare plants for alchemists and know which ones kill and which only make you wish they had. |
| 8 | You grew up among avaries and saw what heroes look like after their god finishes with them. |
| 9 | You were born on the Crystal Shoreside to a family who scavenge whatever the tide brings in. |
| 10 | You followed old trails toward the Lost City of Amone and once saw its gates, before the forest turned you around. |
