Carpentry#
The creation of furniture is done through carpentry. Not all furniture can be created with all types of materials. There are restrictions to certain wood, marble or hemp for lectus furniture.

| flat chisel | a flat chisel is applied with the fletchers hammer to chisel the curvature of bows. though recurve is set technically by the slow bending of wood over years of stretching, a flat chisel can speed the process and strength if used properly and in the correct locations of the bow. |
| point chisel | a point chisel is used to etch details into a wooden product. it is used in conjunction with a fletchers hammer. |
| wood lacquer | wood lacquer darkens the qood slightly and makes the wood slightly resistant to water damage and weathering, most predominately over-drying. lacquering is usually followed by polishing. |
| wood polish | wood polish is applied on top of lacquered wood and is used as a sealant as well as protecant against small brushing against surfaces that might ordinarily cause scratches, as well as sand and a small resistance to water. wood polish is applied with a brush. |
| plane | a tool consisting of a block with a projecting steel blade, used to smooth a wooden or other surface by paring shavings from it. |
| lathe | a machine for shaping wood, metal, or other material by means of a rotating drive that turns the piece being worked on against changeable cutting tools. |
| auger | an auger is a device used to bore large holes into wooden surfaces, most often used to insert pegs. |
| gimlet | a gimlet is a device much like an auger except it bores medium sized holes in surfaces. |
| wymbylle | a wymbylle is a device much like an auger except it bores small holes into surfaces. these holes are sometimes just starter holes to help nails pierce the surface. |
| mallet | a mallet has a wooden head and is used instead of a hammer to ease pegs or press wood against wood in a softer manner to avoid causing divits and holes that would result from using a metal hammer head. |
| file | a tool with a roughened surface or surfaces, typically of steel, used for smoothing or shaping a hard material. |
| brush | an implement with a handle, consisting of bristles set into a block used for cleaning or scrubbing a surface. |
