Each rank adds to your dexterity: +1 DEX at rank 1, up to +5 DEX at rank 5. The bonus sits on top of your score and isn’t held to the maximum training can reach. Rodes of the self has the rest of its kind.

The master#
Lilian Gom ran the rooftops of the Commons as a girl and never stopped. She teaches on ropes strung across a yard below the keep, and her students fall a great deal before they stop falling.
Find Lilian Gom at a rope-walkers’ yard below the keep in Tharsis. Where the masters teach maps all fourteen.
How it shows#
None of this changes a roll. It’s how the people around you can tell what you walk, if you want them to.
- You can’t stand still. You rock on your heels, bounce, tap a foot.
- When you dodge or parry, a pale shade of you seems to stay a moment where you were.
Who walks it#
The classes the rode does the most for. Any class can walk it.
The rode finder ranks every rode for a class.
What others say#
You can tell Gom's people in a crowd. They're the ones already out of your way.
Quick is good. Quick and patient is a monk, and I'll take two.
Footprints on the roof
Someone is robbing the houses of the first generation over the rooftops, and the watch says only one of Lilian Gom’s walkers could do it. Lilian wants the thief found before the watch decides which one.
