Chance#

The sigil of the rode of chance

Nothing is certain, and anything can be. Only by chance does anything exist at all.

Phinius Garland, master of chance

The rode of luck. It raises your luck, and with it all the small things that go your way when they had no reason to.

The master#

Phinius Garland runs a dice table on the docks at the Port of Doonan and has never been seen to lose at it, or to cheat at it. He chooses his walkers by tossing a coin and tells them so.

How it shows#

None of this changes a roll. It’s how the people around you can tell what you walk, if you want them to.

  • You walk a coin across your knuckles while you wait.
  • You leave choices you don’t care about to a die, out loud.

Who walks it#

The classes the rode does the most for. Any class can walk it.

What others say#

I threw dice with a walker of chance and lost my boat. Won it back the next night. I'm still not sure which part was luck.

A fisher of Doonan

Chance is the one rode whose master is honest about what you'll learn: nothing you can count on.

The table at Doonan

Someone has finally beaten Phinius Garland at his dice table, and he’s delighted. The winner took a ship in the bet, and the ship’s owners, who never agreed to be wagered, want it back.
